Alex Killorn signed a four-year, $25 million contract with the Anaheim Ducks on July 1, 2023, following 11 seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning. General manager Pat Verbeek brought in the soon-to-be 35-year-old forward to supply the Ducks' young core group with a veteran who possesses a winning pedigree. Killorn helped the Lightning win back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021. When he made his NHL debut during the 2012-13 season, the Lightning had the third-worst record in the league.
